Our History

Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A., formerly Queiroz Galvão Perfurações S/A, was established in April 1980 during the second global oil crisis, when the Brazilian oil and gas industry was flourishing, focused on oil and gas drilling services.

When the national oil and gas market opened up to private investments, the Company directed its attention towards oil and gas exploration and production and has actively participated in ANP (Brazilian National Petroleum Agency) bidding process since the first round, acquiring concessions in several onshore and offshore blocks. In 2010, the Company transferred all of its exploration and production assets to  Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção (QGEP). Know More.

In 2006, following its market diversification and progress, the Company began operating under the name Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A.

Our Performance

Beginning in 1981, the Company began its activities in the oil & gas industry through the use of conventional onshore oil rigs. The Company now operates a more diverse rig fleet which includes ultra-deepwater rigs at 10,000 feet of water depth and heli-portable onshore rigs, which are ideal for working on remote or difficult areas, such as the Amazon..

Over the past three decades, the Company has taken advantage of the opportunities offered within the domestic market and has intensified its strategic investment plans for the coming years based on the steady growth that the Company has experienced thus far. All projects undergo careful study and analysis, and follow the standards of that which is required of a socially responsible company, as we are committed to ensuring a sustainable future for coming generations.
